INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1. Wire Sponge & Metal box
Purpose: Removes solder residues and oxides from the soldering iron tip. Metal boxes can hold solder residue and prevent solder splatter, thus avoiding accidental burns.
2. Rosin Soldering Flux Paste #7523 (RMA)
Made from premium, high-purity rosin, this is an RMA Activated Paste flux. Removes metal oxide films to ensure bright and strong solder joints. Highly effective in removing oxides from gold, tin, lead, copper, silver, and nickel alloys. (Fully compatible with both leaded and lead-free solders.)
3. Tip Tinner & Cleaner #F1000 (16G)
Remove oxide residue from soldering tips. Repair soldering tips and re-tin them. Soldering tip maintenance. Extend the lifespan of soldering tips.
4. No-Clean Desoldering Wick #NC942 (1.5m/5Ft)
Purpose: A flat, ribbon-weave desoldering wire made of high-purity fine copper strands. It provides exceptional thermal conductivity and solder absorption capacity, and comes pre-coated with highly active RMA rosin flux.
5. Thickened Cleaning Sponges (40x50x10mm)
Purpose: Soak in water before use to let it expand, then squeeze out the excess water. Lightly swipe or wipe the hot soldering iron tip across the moistened sponge to remove residual solder and rosin gunk.
Steps:
• Adjust the soldering iron temperature to 300°C–320°C (572°F–608°F)
• Insert the solder tip into the Tip Tinner and rotate and rub for 3-4 seconds.
• Wipe the solder tip with a cleaning sponge.
• Repair complete. (Repeat the process if unsatisfactory.)
• Tip: After use, soldering tips should be tinned with solder wire and stored to extend their lifespan.
